🎉🎙️ 100 Podcast Episodes In & Proof That Consistency Really Can Beat Intensity

Two years ago, me and Katie sat down to record episode one of The Voice of Fitness Reason with no real plan for how long we'd keep going. This week, we recorded episode 100

No production team. No sponsors. No fancy studio. Just two mates, a couple of microphones, and whatever WiFi we could scrape together, and somehow, that's turned into over 10,000 unique downloads, or over 20,000 ears by my maths 👂👀👂
If you've listened to more than a couple of episodes, you'll know consistency beats intensity is basically our whole message, whatever the topic. Training, nutrition, sleep, stress - it always comes back to the same thing: small, steady effort over time beats short bursts of doing everything perfectly.
This podcast is us practising what we preach
...and trying to be semi-useful at the same time 😉
Why we started the Pod:
That word — noise — is the whole point of this podcast. Two years in, there's more of it than ever. More social media, more podcasts, more "experts," more contradicting advice. Our job hasn't changed: take what's actually useful and help you make sense of it.
The line I'm weirdly proud of:
Somewhere in the middle of recording this weeks episode, I said something I genuinely surprised myself with:
"Something done well enough for long enough leads to great change."
It was aimed at helping you, the listener, but also sums up the whole podcast, really. Not perfect. Not the newest trend. Just consistent, boring, unglamorous effort — kept up for long enough that it actually adds up to something.
We're not perfect, but we've shown up
We're not going to pretend every week has been smooth, we've had house moves, dodgy internet, and busy weeks where recording was the last thing either of us fancied doing. But we kept showing up anyway, and that's the whole lesson, isn't it?
Never perfect. Always consistent.
What's next
More of the same, honestly. Client questions, real conversations, and the same old boring basics — because they're boring for a reason: they work. We'll keep showing up for as long as you want us to.
Thanks for listening to the first 100. Here's to the next 100.
