Let me say this straight away…
Most people who think they’ve hit a plateau… haven’t.
Progress in health and fitness is never a straight line.
It goes up, it slows down, it pauses… then it moves again.
That’s how this works.

The Problem: We Expect Too Much, Too Quickly
At the start of a new routine, everything works.
You’re motivated. You’re focused. You see quick wins.
Then things slow down… and your brain starts telling you something’s wrong.
Nothing is wrong.
A real 'Plateau' is:
Not a few days of slow progress.
Not “I only lost 1lb instead of 3 this week.”
That’s just normal.
Ask yourself: Am I being impatient? Or is this really a plateau?
What To Do If Progress Has Slowed Down
First bit of advice: Don’t overhaul everything. That’s where most people go wrong.
Instead, PICK ONE thing to focus on right now and nail that as best as you can.
Here are some ideas:
1. Turn Up The Intensity Of Your Workouts
Same workouts, but more intent.
Add a bit more weight
Push a few extra reps
Move with more purpose
2. Tighten Up Your Nutrition
Not perfect. Just better.
Fewer “loose” weekends
Gain more awareness of portions
Get back to the habits that were working
3. Set A New Goal
At the start, you had a goal. That drove you.
Now you need another one.
Train for something (event, challenge, milestone)
Focus on getting stronger at one movement
Give yourself a reason to care again
4. Or… Celebrate That You’re Maintaining
This might be the one no one tells you.
Sometimes, life is busy. Stress is high. Energy is low.
And right now, your win is staying consistent.
That’s not failure. That’s a skill.
Maintaining your results, without slipping backwards, is something most people never master.

Final Thought
If you’re reading this and thinking:
“Yeah… I’ve probably just been a bit impatient.”
Good.
That means you’re closer than you think.
You just need to stay in the game long enough for it to work.
