Hi team, I wanted to let you know about a huge challenge I’ve signed up for…
I’m cycling 54 miles from Clapham to Brighton to raise funds for a life-saving defibrillator (AED) for our barn, while also supporting the amazing work of the British Heart Foundation.
Now, for context… I’ve never cycled more than 30 minutes in one go before 😅 Early training rides (and honest feedback from clients who've done it in the past!) have already confirmed this is going to hurt a lot more than expected, and not just on my thighs, but also on my backside… and apparently the infamous Devil’s Dyke hill near Brighton is waiting for me towards the end as a lovely little surprise.

But the reason I chose this event is bigger than the challenge itself.
Heart problems and cardiac arrests affect so many families, and most of us know someone who has been impacted in some way.
Having quick access to an AED can dramatically improve survival chances in those critical first few minutes before emergency services arrive.
Although we all hope we never need one, having a defibrillator available at the studio could one day help save a life. That’s why I’m doing this.
If you’d like to sponsor me (and help push me up those Brighton hills!), you can donate here:

Thank you in advance for your support and be sure to follow @fitwithfrank on socials for training updates, padded shorts trials and to laugh at my pain before/during/after the event too.
It'll all be worth it I'm sure! (hopeful lol)
